To quote her (and this is the grammatically correct sentence): *whiny voice* "My Chinese is A1/A2 standard and I got a B3. Even you (referring to me) can get B4..."Read between the lines and you'll get what I mean.Indeed, my Chinese sucks. Big time. So what? I'm "ang moh pai". I speak English at home. I grew up on Disney channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. I watch American TV series, etc. I believe she, on the other hand, is the complete opposite.
I know that's not an excuse for not being good at Chinese, but the whole point is that I improved from a D7/C6 standard. Not everyone is cut out for Chinese, I guess. So what right does she, of all people, have to insult my Chinese? I already exceeded my own, and everyone else's expectations. That's what matters. So shouldn't she, as my 'friend', be happy for me or something? Some friend she is.Goes to show that lots of people don't expect much of me. Here's an advanced notification:
